Itinerary

Akrotiri excavations, Archeological site

See the excavations of the prehistoric town in Akrotiri which was created in the fifth millennium BC and then was covered with ash after the eruption of the volcano. The volcanic ash by covering the whole city kept the biggest parts of this area protected and now it is possible to walk inside the city and also see the wall paintings and some furniture vessels.

Red beach, Akrotiri

The volcanic Red beach of Santorini is located on the South part of the island at the village of Akrotiri. This beach is a unique outcome of the volcano’s eruption around  the 16th Century BC. The red lava stone behind the beach creates an astonishing blend with the black sand and the crystal blue water. The way to reach the shore is uneven and rocky which makes it a bit dangerous sometimes to get there, but you can find a fantastic spot on the top of the beach to admire and take extraordinary pictures of this amazing natural creation.

Lunch & Wine tasting

Enjoy your journey into the world of Santorini wine with one of the most delicious and seductive local wine varieties. These wine varieties guide you through the unique microclimate of Santorini and its mark on the island’s most famous product. The 4 fine local wines of this tasting are perfectly paired with a 4-course meal.

Black sand beach Kamari

The black sand beach of Kamari village. This village is a coastal area that offers a nice blend of relaxation on the beach and culture. The beach is very popular for its pristine black sand and the clear blue waters. Get the opportunity to swim or just to calm down by the water while enjoying a meal or drink at one of the most unique volcanic beaches around the world.

Pyrgos village

Pyrgos, the old capital of Santorini, is very famous for its different structure and the ruins of Kastelli fortress. While wandering inside the small alleys of Pyrgos, you will have the opportunity to admire some of the oldest houses of Santorini from the 10th Century. Also there you will find some very small local shops to enjoy a refreshment and to taste some local flavors.

Monastery of Prophet Elias (Highest point of Santorini)

One of the oldest active monasteries in Santorini which dates back to the 17th Century. This holy place is located at the highest point of the island and offers its visitors a breathtaking panoramic view. Observe the shape of Santorini, walk through the Monastery and taste some local wine and treats produced by the monks.

Frequently asked questions and tips

Can I create the whole itinerary based on my interests?

Yes, of course. You can arrange with your driver which places you want to visit, how much time you want to spend per place or if you want to add an extra stop for food or drinks. Everyone has a different personality and different needs, so every one of our tours offers a personalized experience.

What happens if there are kids or elders and do we have to be in a good physical shape?

Every one of our drivers is a professional, knows how to modify every different tour and to handle special requests depending on the type of participants to make an unforgettable enjoyable experience for them.

What kind of clothes and shoes is needed to wear?

It is recommended to wear easy walking shoes because there are some specific areas where you may need to walk on uneven or rocky ground and comfortable clothes to feel relaxed and cooler especially during the summer months. Also if you are interested in visiting some religious monuments, please dress appropriately.

What is the private sightseeing tour?

The private tour is hiring a car and a local assistant for a few hours to go and explore the island. But with “Cozy pickups” you will not only have a well- trained professional driver, but you will also have the opportunity to learn some very interesting information about the heritage, the culture and history of Santorini from a “friend”

Useful tips:

During the summer time in Greece there are high temperatures and the sun is very hot. We recommend that you wear sunglasses, sunscreen and possibly a hat to protect yourself. In every one of our sightseeing rides we offer bottles of fresh water for every individual to stay cool and hydrated.
