The location of Santorini airport is on the southeastern side of the island, very close to the beaches of Agia Paraskevi and Monolithos. The bus station is located outside the departures building and is the only one at this airport. The buses’ timetable is also settled there, normally the bus comes every one hour from the central bus station in Fira and goes back there again. Therefore if you want to go somewhere else expect Fira, you will need to go there first and then buy another ticket and use another bus to reach your final destination.
Additionally something very important to know is that the bus runs from 06:00 am till 21:00pm and the time which is needed from Fira to the airport and vice versa is about 25 minutes. The cost for the ticket is about 2€.

You will find about 8 different places at Santorini airport where you can eat or drink something. The two of them are located on the exterior side (the 1st one outside the departures hall and the 2nd one a few meters across the arrivals hall), they are a very good choice for somebody who wants to stay outside the buildings. Then there is one inside the arrival’s hall and another one inside the departures hall both offering very good coffee and sandwiches. After that the rest of them are located at the departures airside.

But if you have made a reservation from a different company, then you will find an employee of this company holding a sign with your name on it outside the arrivals.
The closest places where somebody can go nearby the airport are 3. The two of them are the beaches of Monolithos and Agia Paraskevi with some tavernas and sunbeds on the coast and the distance from the airport is about 2,4km (1, 24 miles).Secondly the other one is the village of Messaria, there you can find supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and of course gyros and souvlaki, this village is about 2,9 km (1,85 miles).
