2. Fira: The elegant capital of Santorini offers numerous different places that somebody can enjoy the sun when it goes down. Moreover, the hiking trail from Fira to Oia is another excellent and quiet place which provides excellent opportunities for taking memorable sunset pictures.

Imerovigli: If you are seeking for something similar to Oia and Fira, but with less people, Imerovigli which is known as the “balcony of Santorini” offers outstanding views of Caldera when the sun is going down. At the village of Imerovigli there are also the ruins of the historic Venetian castle of Skaros, located at the edge of the cliff.
4. Akrotiri Faros: The lighthouse of Akrotiri (Faros) is located at the southern coast of Santorini and there you will find a more unique sunset experience, as this place offers more privacy away from the crowds.
5. Monastery of Profitis Ilias: Located at the highest point of the island, this place provides a panoramic view of whole Santorini and the surrounding islands. There you will also avoid the big groups of tourists and you will have the opportunity to see the sunset from the most peaceful part of Santorini.
